Shipping rates + Returns?
Within the U.K - We charge a base rate shipping cost of £5.00 per order. This allows us to send your lovely parcels with the correct compensation rate as well as offering a safe and secure way to receive your Perched Bird order. All orders are sent with Royal Mail service. Or an express delivery option is also available. As all our products are made to order we do not accept returns. This does not affect you statuary rights.
We now offer international delivery through our website. Please see your basket for up to date shipping charges for overseas. International orders are sent Signed & Tracked with Royal Mail. Please be aware that you may have to pay VAT depending on your countries customs procedures.
What is the Lead time for Perched Bird Pieces?
All pieces are made to order in house in our little studio in Warwickshire by Kara. Please allow up to three weeks from order to despatch, especially during peak seasons.
Handmade products disclaimer
Because almost all of our pieces are hand made and hand painted, each piece can look different to its neighbour. Although we take great care to replicate each piece almost identically, there will always be natural differences from piece to piece. This can include sizing, colours and designs.
What is your Returns Policy?
As all our products are made to order we do not accept returns. This does not affect you statuary rights.
Personalisation Disclaimer
As humans, we understand that sometimes we all make errors. Please double check all personalisation text as once the product is made there are no amendments and it is then the customers responsibility to pay for replacements. If you can’t find something that’s just right for that special someone, our Bespoke Service is a great option. Please contact us with your thoughts and we’ll get back to you within 5 days.
Terms + Condition’s
Placing an Order
By placing an order with us you have agreed to our Terms & Conditions, and we must receive payment in full before the order can be accepted. Upon acceptance of your order you will be sent a confirmation e-mail. Prices and availability are subject to change without notice.
Personalised Items
Upon entering personalised details and purchasing the item, the buyer has agreed the information given is correct. Any spelling mistakes or inaccurate information is the fault of the buyer and can not be returned or refunded. Refunds will only be granted to personalised products which are deemed faulty. Please be advised, that any personalisation over the specified character limit will be dismissed and the name or wording may not collate with what you have requested.
Materials
Perched Bird reserves the right to change product materials and prices without notice.
Availability
All products are subject to availability. If for any reason the item is unavailable or exceeds the estimated delivery time, we will contact you to discuss how best to proceed.
Returns Policy
At Perched Bird we take customer feedback very seriously. If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, then please do not hesitate to contact us within 15 days of delivery, and we will direct you as to the best course of action. Please note made to order items are none refundable unless deemed faulty. Items that are deemed faulty will be granted a refund of postage after proof has been provided. When returning a faulty item it is the responsibility of the customer to arrange and pay for 2ndC postage and return using the returns label enclosed. Returns postage will be refunded once the items has arrived with Perched Bird. Please include your name, address, contact details and order number, as well as the reason for the return. It is also recommended that proof of postage is obtained along with relevant insurance. Items that are lost or damaged whilst progressing through the postage system are not the responsibility of Perched Bird, and the issue must be taken up with the courier in question.
The Right to Cancel
Please note that you can only cancel a made to order item if the order is not under production. If you wish to cancel an order then please contact us at perchedbirdillustrations@hotmail.com with your order no. to obtain the order status and discuss the best course of action.
Lost or Damaged Items
We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to items whilst travelling through the postal system, but in this event please contact us and we will work with the courier to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. Please be aware that items sent via Royal Mail are not deemed lost until 15 working days after the delivery date for the UK.
Delivery
Items will be sent to the address provided by the customer. As most items need a signature upon receipt, we cannot send items to PO Box addresses. Delivery lead times are approximations only and Perched Bird cannot accept any responsibility for speed of the courier service. Please see our FAQ’s above for more details on charges and delivery times.
Delivery Overseas
Please contact us for overseas options. Any tax payable upon receipt of the delivery will be the responsibility of the customer.
Conformity of Goods
As all items at Perched Bird are handmade, there may be slight variations to the finished product. Images on this website are intended to give a general description of the product. Colours may vary dependant on the monitor resolution. If you are trying to ascertain the correct colour for a particular item, please contact us and we will be happy to work with you to achieve this the best we can.
Gift Wrapping Services
You can now add gift wrap to any order under our ‘Extras’ section. We try to use our signature luxe boxes where possible but sometimes due to unusual dimensions of certain products, it is necessary to use alternative gift wrap. We will always wrap each order with meticulous care and attention. So, if it’s not one of our beautiful Kraft boxes it will be our exclusive quality wrapping paper with illustrated bees and florals.
